Banana Wave – Chocolate

Although this is technically not a ‘milk’ (dairy or otherwise) it is in the category of milk alternatives, and as it has a chocolate option, it will be judged most judiciously.

The good: more banana drinks. I love the creamy smooth taste of bananas and I’m glad when they make their appearance.

The Bad: it’s a banana puree, that’s like realizing your apple juice is water with apple concrentrate. No thank you.

The flavor is.. interesting. It’s not unpleasant, but it doesn’t have enough sweetness or savory flavors. There’s no jubilation in the acting of drinking it.

While bananas are more sustainable to grow, I can’t source their bananas. However there is more cane sugar than cocoa powder by volume, leading to a poor aftertaste. Cane sugar is also not a sustainable or friendly agriculture practice, so there is a loss of points there for both ethics and taste.
